The Taylor Michelle Russell Foundation, continues it mission to help families whose children have been stricken with MAS/HLH. The room at The Ronald McDonald House of Greater Cincinnati where Taylor and her family resided while she was undergoing medical care is now donated in her memory. The TMRF is a blessing to others at The Ronald McDonald House, they way they were a blessing to Taylor and her family.
The TMRF will also sponsor 2 college scholarships to members of Lilydale Progressive Missionary Baptist Church,Taylor's church home, for students majoring in Medical Research or Education.

The Taylor Michelle Russell Foundation (TMRF) was established to bring awareness to Macrophage Activation Syndrome (MAS) ~ a severe life-threatening, complication of several chronic rheumatic diseases of childhood. It was also established to help increase awareness and registration of African Americans registered on the National Marrow Donor Registry.
In addition, The TMRF was created to help defray the financial burden of Taylor Michelle Russell's family as she undergoes treatment for MAS/HLH and other families with children suffering from the same who may also have to temporarily relocate to a treatment center. Monies are used to pay for medical expenses and to offset indirect expenses of the immediate family as a result of temporary relocation to the treating medical facility.
Most often, immediate families are 100% displaced until the child is released to go home or receive care via an out-patient status.
Register wth the National Marrow Registry. African Americans are grossly underrepresented in bone marrow registration and over-represented in cases of serious illnesses where the cure involves bone marrow transplantation.
Help preserve the life of children like Taylor Michelle Russell and adults like Taylor whose only source of a cure for his/her illness is a bone marrow transplantation.
